Dr. Candace J. Thomas

Dr. Thomas serves as a Certified Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation. In this role, she helps to ensure that commercial motor vehicle drivers are fit for duty and that our roadways stay safe. Dr. Candace J. Thomas  was born and raised in Kenbridge, Virginia. Dr. Thomas earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, Pre-med, from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA.  She attended Life University in Marietta, GA, and later transferred to Sherman College in Spartanburg, SC, where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. Dr. Thomas also studied with master TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) practitioners to obtain certification and is a Board Certified Acupuncturist.

Due to Dr. Thomas’ vast knowledge and understanding of how the body works she has served as an adjunct Anatomy & Physiology Professor for Brightpoint Community College and J. Sargent Reynolds for over 10 years.
